Requirements:

  • A Grade 12 qualification or an equivalent certification.

  • Proven ability to work independently, professionally, and with a high level of accountability and credibility.

  • Basic understanding of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and Treasury Regulations.

  • Strong planning, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Duties:

  • Process payments for service providers, including subsistence, travel claims, and cellphone reimbursements.

  • Assist with the preparation and management of the unit’s budget.

  • Handle tasks related to the procurement, supply, and distribution of inventory in accordance with relevant procurement policies.

  • Manage the administration of office stationery and oversee petty cash management.

  • Create and maintain an efficient and organized administrative system for the office.

  • Coordinate with the corporate services department on matters affecting the administrative operations of the office.

  • Provide general administrative support, including filing, photocopying, faxing, and handling the receipt and dispatch of documents.
