REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must possess a Senior Certificate or a three-year National Diploma (or equivalent qualification) registered at NQF Level 4 or 6, as recognized by SAQA.

In addition, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following duties:

  • Manage an efficient filing system and ensure smooth document workflow within the Unit.
  • Receive, distribute, and register incoming and outgoing documents.
  • Develop and maintain a functional document tracking system.
  • Provide secretarial support, including coordination and preparation of meeting and workshop materials.
  • Take minutes and compile meeting reports.
  • Manage the supervisor’s diary, schedule appointments, and record events.
  • Facilitate both manual and electronic coordination of diary activities.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Unit.
  • Organise logistics and related arrangements for travel, meetings, workshops, and conferences.
  • Handle the procurement and ordering of office stationery and equipment.
  • Coordinate the management of assets and inventory within the Unit.
  • Perform general office tasks such as photocopying, faxing, and emailing documents.

    This will assess core management competencies using the SMS competency assessment tools.
