PPurpose of the Job

The purpose of this role is to provide members with a warm and friendly welcome while delivering exceptional customer service. The individual in this position will be responsible for ensuring members have a positive experience from the moment they arrive, addressing their needs with efficiency, empathy, and a high level of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Phone Reception: Answer incoming phone calls in a prompt, courteous manner, ensuring that inquiries are directed to the appropriate department or resolved directly.
  • Customer-Focused Support: Assist members with their needs and concerns, demonstrating empathy and problem-solving skills to provide timely solutions.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve member inquiries or issues swiftly, ensuring a high level of satisfaction with each interaction.
  • Member Registration & Greeting: Greet new and returning members with a warm, friendly attitude, and assist with the registration process efficiently.
  • First Impressions: Create a positive, welcoming first impression for everyone who enters the facility, helping to foster a friendly and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Reception Area Management: Maintain control of the reception area, ensuring it is organized, welcoming, and running smoothly at all times.
  • Communication: Exhibit excellent verbal communication, clearly conveying information and maintaining a professional tone in all interactions with members, guests, and staff.

Experience & Competencies

Reliable Transportation: Ability to commute to the location without issues, ensuring consistent punctuality and attendance.

Basic Computer/PC Skills: Comfort with using computers and basic office software to perform tasks efficiently.

Friendly, Helpful Demeanor: An approachable attitude that aligns with the Planet Fitness brand and enhances the customer experience.

Flexibility in Scheduling: Ability to work various shifts based on the needs of the business, demonstrating flexibility and reliability.

High Energy & Enthusiasm: A positive and energetic attitude that reflects the company’s commitment to creating an enjoyable and motivating environment.

Prior Experience (Desirable): Previous experience working at a front desk or in customer-facing roles is a plus, though not mandatory.
