Purpose of the Learnership
The Youth Employment Service (YES) Sales Associate Learnership is designed to provide structured workplace experience and learning to unemployed youth, equipping them with practical retail knowledge and valuable skills. Minimum Requirements
To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Age: Between 18 and 28 years old at the time of application.
- Education: Minimum Grade 10 (Matric/Grade 12 is advantageous).
- Employment History: Must not have been permanently employed with a single employer for more than 12 consecutive months.
- Education Status: Cannot be studying full-time during the program period (April 2023 – March 2024).
- YES Program Status: Candidates who have previously participated in or registered for the YES program are not eligible.
- Commitment: Must be available and willing to work the full 12-month fixed-term contract.
- Logistics: Accommodation and transport arrangements are the responsibility of the learner, where applicable.
- Equity Preference: Employment Equity Act principles apply – preference will be given to candidates from designated groups.
