Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Trainee Programme

Position Purpose

The WIL Trainee Programme is a structured 12-month initiative designed for students and recent graduates. It bridges the gap between academic theory and workplace practice, giving participants practical exposure to real business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with specific projects within a department.
  • Perform routine operational tasks under supervision.
  • Support administrative functions, including filing, data capturing, and reporting.
  • Participate in training sessions, mentorships, and workshops.

Business Administration Learnership (Tracker) – SAQA ID 61595

Introduction

This learnership provides participants with both theoretical and workplace training while working towards the Further Education and Training Certificate: Business Administration Services (SAQA ID 61595).

It’s an opportunity for young people to gain practical exposure in the Customer Engagement and Acquisitions & Scheduling departments while earning a stipend.

Job Description

Learners will:

  • Handle administrative duties (filing, record-keeping, document preparation, and data capturing).
  • Attend theoretical sessions one day per week.
  • Manage departmental communication (emails, phone calls, face-to-face).
  • Provide customer service support by resolving queries via telephone.
  • Ensure accurate capturing and updating of client data.
  • Handle escalated queries, follow-ups, and post-installation technical support.
  • Contribute to achieving departmental Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Assist with statistics, reporting, and compliance tasks.

Minimum Requirements

  • South African citizen aged 18–35 with no criminal record.
  • Matric with:
    • English: Level 4/D symbol.
    • Mathematics OR Maths Literacy: Level 3/E symbol.
  • Currently unemployed and not studying full-time.
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Good communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Professional, adaptable, and detail-oriented.

The YES (Youth Employment Service) Programme gives unemployed youth a chance to gain valuable work exposure in retail while boosting their employability. Hosted by The Foschini Group (TFG), this 12-month contract will immerse learners in South Africa’s most dynamic retail environment.
