Job Summary

We’re seeking enthusiastic, people-oriented individuals to join Capitec Bank as Bank Better Champions. In this role, you’ll serve as the first point of contact for our clients, ensuring that every interaction is friendly, professional, and efficient. You will welcome customers into the branch, assist them with self-service options, and guide them through basic banking processes — helping them discover how easy it is to bank better with Capitec.

No prior banking experience is required — we’ll provide full training. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals looking to start a career in the financial services sector with one of South Africa’s leading banks.


Key Responsibilities

As a Bank Better Champion, you will:

Customer Experience and Frontline Service

  • Welcome and greet clients warmly upon entering the branch to create a friendly and professional first impression.
  • Manage and direct client flow in the branch to ensure an orderly and efficient service environment.
  • Assist clients with using self-service channels such as ATMs, mobile banking, and online platforms.
  • Provide clients with basic banking information, including account balances, product details, and transactional assistance.
  • Identify opportunities to inform clients about Capitec’s products, services, and digital solutions.
  • Respond to client questions with accuracy, clarity, and professionalism.
  • Promote Capitec’s self-service and digital banking tools to improve client convenience.

Operational Support

  • Maintain a well-organized branch reception area that reflects Capitec’s professional image.
  • Support team members and branch staff in ensuring daily branch operations run smoothly.
  • Handle simple administrative tasks related to client interactions and service delivery.
  • Uphold confidentiality, compliance, and security standards in all branch operations.

Team Collaboration and Continuous Learning

  • Work collaboratively with other branch team members to achieve service and sales targets.
  • Stay up to date with Capitec Bank’s products, policies, and systems to ensure accurate client guidance.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development sessions designed to improve product knowledge, customer engagement, and banking operations.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

Education:

  • Grade 12 / Matric Certificate (NQF Level 4) is essential.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for customer service and strong client-centric mindset.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle client concerns effectively.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and professionalism.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence using computers, smartphones, and self-service banking platforms.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, in line with branch operating hours.
