Job Purpose

The Client Service Administrator plays a critical role in delivering frontline services to clients applying for Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) benefits. This position ensures compliance with relevant legislation, departmental policies, and service standards while providing efficient, accurate, and customer-focused assistance. The role involves processing applications, managing administrative tasks, and upholding the principles of Batho Pele to ensure quality public service delivery.

Minimum Requirements

  • Educational Qualification:
    • Grade 12 / Senior Certificate (Matric).
  • Experience:
    • No prior experience required; comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

The Client Service Administrator will be responsible for the following duties:

  1. Client Screening and Advisory Services
    • Welcome and assist clients visiting the Labour Centre.
    • Screen applications for UIF benefits to ensure completeness and compliance with requirements.
    • Provide accurate information and guidance on UIF processes, eligibility criteria, and required documentation.
  2. Processing UIF Applications
    • Capture and process claims for unemployment benefits in accordance with UIF regulations.
    • Validate client information and ensure accurate data entry into operational systems.
    • Monitor and track application status to ensure timely resolution.
  3. Payment Continuation and Follow-Up
    • Register and process payment continuation forms for approved beneficiaries.
    • Liaise with clients regarding outstanding documentation or queries related to payments.
  4. Administrative Support
    • Maintain organized records and filing systems for all UIF-related transactions.
    • Prepare reports and assist with audits as required by departmental policies.
    • Ensure compliance with PFMA and POPIA in handling financial and personal information.
  5. Customer Service Excellence
    • Uphold Batho Pele principles by delivering courteous, transparent, and efficient service.
    • Address client complaints and escalate unresolved issues to supervisors promptly.
