Role Purpose
The Receptionist is the first point of contact for clients and visitors, responsible for delivering exceptional front-of-house services and maintaining a professional, welcoming environment. This role involves managing meeting rooms, coordinating soft services, handling client queries, and ensuring operational efficiency to enhance the overall workplace experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Front-of-House Services
- Provide a courteous, professional, and friendly reception service to all visitors and clients.
- Answer and direct incoming calls promptly and professionally.
- Maintain a positive and approachable demeanor at all times.
2. Meeting Room & Common Area Management
- Ensure meeting rooms and common areas are clean, organized, and ready for use.
- Coordinate bookings and manage schedules for meeting rooms.
- Monitor consumables and ensure adequate stock levels for refreshments and supplies.
3. Client Interaction & Issue Resolution
- Handle client queries efficiently and escalate issues to the appropriate department when necessary.
- Maintain strong communication channels to ensure timely resolution of concerns.
4. Coordination of Soft Services
- Liaise with service providers for cleaning, hygiene, and maintenance services.
- Monitor service delivery to ensure compliance with Tsebo standards.
5. Reporting & Administration
- Prepare daily and monthly operational reports for management review.
- Maintain accurate records of bookings, consumables, and service requests.
Skills & Competencies
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Technical Skills: Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office applications.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric) essential.
- Tertiary qualification in Hospitality or a related field is advantageous.
Experience
- 4–5 years’ experience in front-of-house or customer service roles.
- Previous experience in a corporate or hospitality environment preferred.
