About the Role

The Department of Health is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Administration Clerks. This role is essential to ensuring smooth administrative operations within the hospital environment. Successful candidates will provide support in managing correspondence, organizing meetings, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with departmental norms and standards.


Minimum Requirements

  • Educational Qualification:
    • Grade 12 (Matric) – No experience required.
  • Added Advantage:
    • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification with 0–2 years’ experience OR
    • Grade 10 or equivalent qualification with 2–5 years’ experience.
    • Minimum of one (1) year experience in office management will be beneficial.

Knowledge Areas

  • Data capturing and administrative procedures.
  • Norms and standards applicable to the working environment.
  • Planning, organizing, and reporting procedures.
  • Basic research and data gathering techniques.
  • Procurement directives and procedures.

Skills Required

  • Mathematics and numerical accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Computer literacy (MS Suite).
  • Office organization and general/electronic filing.
  • People skills and ability to maintain discipline.
  • Conflict management and problem-solving.
  • Basic interpersonal relationships.

  • Formulating and editing documents.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage administrative functions of the Quality Assurance Office.
  • Handle all incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Arrange meetings and appointments; take minutes during meetings.
  • Utilize computer skills for filing, statistics, and database management.
  • Perform general typing, photocopying, and document preparation.
  • Order and maintain stationery and office equipment.
  • Organize and store paper documents and computer information systematically.

Salary & Benefits
