About the Role
The Department of Health is seeking dedicated individuals to join the Logistics Department as Cleaners. This role is essential for maintaining hygiene and cleanliness standards in healthcare facilities and laundry services. Successful candidates will perform routine cleaning tasks, operate cleaning equipment, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Minimum Requirements
- Educational Qualification:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Experience:
- No experience required.
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and equipment.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform routine tasks and physical labour.
- Ability to liaise with stakeholders and work effectively in a team.
- Preparedness to work under pressure, rotate shifts, and perform extra duties when required.
- Legal requirement: Employees must wear protective clothing at all times.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Clean floors, doors, walls, windows, beds, bed lockers, steps, and other surfaces.
- Perform both indoor and outdoor cleaning duties as assigned.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as polishing machines.
- Use cleaning chemicals safely and according to instructions.
- Assist with additional duties as directed by supervisors.
- Maintain hygiene standards in compliance with departmental policies.

Salary & Benefits
