We are looking for a Logistic Administrator to join our dynamic team in Midrand. This role is critical in managing administrative and logistical functions to support our Guarding Division and ensure smooth operations across multiple sites.


Job Purpose

The Logistic Administrator will be responsible for coordinating and managing administrative tasks, stock control, and site support services. This includes requisition processing, budget monitoring, store-room management, and assisting with technical repairs. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

1. Administrative Duties

  • Create and submit requisition orders accurately and timeously.
  • Process and receipt invoices in line with company procedures.
  • Collect stock from the warehouse and ensure proper documentation.
  • Follow up on orders with finance, procurement, and suppliers to avoid delays.
  • Prepare and manage Capex documentation.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for all administrative records.
  • Monitor monthly and annual Guarding budgets to ensure compliance and prevent overspending.
  • Provide weekly feedback to Area Managers on logistical and budget matters.
  • Design, create, and laminate ID cards for guards.
  • Laminate guard hut SOPs and name tags for guards on duty at various sites.
  • Manage vehicles, including conducting weekly spare vehicle checks.

2. Store-room Management

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store-room.
  • Ensure availability of Guarding stock, including OB books, access control items, and cleaning materials.
  • Dispose of old equipment and uniforms responsibly.
  • Pack emergency uniforms and prepare new guards’ uniforms as per requisitions.
  • Keep accurate records of all uniforms and site equipment issued and returned.

3. Technical Support

  • Install panic buttons and related security devices.
  • Perform general repair work on guard houses, signage, and electrical systems.
  • Repair bicycles and other site equipment as needed.
  • Address valid repair requests promptly to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Fix alarms and ensure proper functioning of security systems.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education:
    • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in administration or logistics (security industry experience advantageous).
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Computer literacy (MS Office Suite).
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Technical aptitude for minor repairs and installations.
