General Worker

For both commercial and residential garden planting, Starke Ayres is the leading African expert and international supplier of high-quality vegetable, flower, and lawn seed varieties. The following general worker post, located in Kempton Park, is now open. This position’s objective is to support the packing of various seed lots and kinds in accordance with the company’s standard operating procedures.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

• After receiving seed lots for packing, make sure the packing method is appropriate.
• Compare the information provided on the appropriate work card with the amounts, types, varieties, and lot numbers of seed that were received for packing.
• After application, precisely weigh or verify the weigh containers in accordance with the guidelines.
• Following the guidelines, close and mark the bags or containers containing processed or packing seed.
• As directed, stack or pack bags or containers with processed or packing seed.
• Once the supervisor has determined the proper parameters, operate the treatment equipment.
• Prior to and following usage, clean the pertinent equipment.
• Keep the environment surrounding the work area extremely hygienic.
