Purpose of the Role:

As a Cellular Sales Consultant, your primary responsibility is to provide excellent service and support to customers seeking cellular products and services. You will work to meet and exceed sales targets while ensuring customer needs are understood and fulfilled. This role contributes directly to the profitability and performance of the Business Unit through knowledgeable, efficient, and customer-focused interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve Sales Targets: Consistently meet and exceed individual contract targets to support the profitability of the store and overall business unit.
  • Promote Cellular Products: Actively promote and upsell contract cellular services and products that align with customer needs, helping to drive value and customer loyalty.
  • Process Applications: Efficiently and accurately action cellular contract applications in accordance with company policies, guidelines, and risk protocols.
  • Customer Interaction: Engage with customers in a friendly, informative, and customer-centric manner to ensure a positive in-store experience.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to create a supportive and productive working environment, contributing to the team’s success.
  • Self-Management: Maintain a high level of personal accountability and time management to ensure targets and tasks are completed effectively.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Educational Qualification: Matric (Grade 12) is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in the retail industry, preferably in a customer-facing or sales role.
  • Product Knowledge: Understanding of contract services and cellular products.
  • Technical Proficiency: Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Risk Awareness: Basic understanding of risk management principles in a retail or sales context.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport with customers and work collaboratively within a team.

  • Sales Acumen: A proven ability to identify sales opportunities and convert them into successful outcomes.
