Purpose of the Programme

The Sasol Learnership Programme 2025 is a 12-month structured training and development opportunity designed for Grade 12 graduates who are eager to gain both theoretical knowledge and practical workplace experience.

The programme blends classroom-based learning with on-site training, equipping participants with essential business, administrative, and professional skills to prepare them for future employment opportunities.

This is an excellent platform for school leavers to gain exposure in a professional corporate environment while developing the skills required for long-term employability.


Programme Overview

1. Theoretical Component (Classroom Training)

Learners will complete modules aligned to a National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Learnership in Business Administration, which covers:

  • Entrepreneurship: Basics of running and managing small businesses.
  • Business Operations: Understanding core organisational processes.
  • Customer Service: Building strong client-facing skills and service orientation.
  • Business Accounting: Introduction to financial principles and recordkeeping.
  • Mathematical Literacy: Applied numeracy and quantitative skills.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal, written, and digital communication.
  • Computer Literacy: MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

2. Practical On-Site Experience (Workplace Training)

During the workplace component, learners will:

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to departmental teams and managers.
  • Assist with scheduling, filing, document management, and report preparation.
  • Gain exposure to business processes such as workflow management, compliance, and organisational procedures.
  • Participate in workplace readiness activities that enhance teamwork, professionalism, and time management.

Core Elements of the Learnership

  • Full participation in the learnership programme, including classroom and on-site activities.
  • Completion of all required assessments, assignments, and evaluations.
  • Engagement in structured workplace exercises that enhance business and operational skills.
  • Building professional behaviours such as accountability, time management, and adaptability.
  • Demonstrating the ability to learn, apply knowledge, and support departmental objectives.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this programme, applicants must have:

  • Matric / Grade 12 qualification (compulsory).
  • Willingness to commit to a 12-month full-time learnership.
  • Strong motivation to learn and develop within a professional setting.
